what do you mean by download/downloading?

You might wonder what a silly post this is. Everyone knows what a download is. Whenever you “download” a song/video/game/file from a site is known as, well, download. Right?naah, wrong! Every single bit that you TRANSFER from a remote computer to your computer, that’s called download and the process is called downloading. And that includes surfing the internet, too. Because, data IS stored on your computer while you browse through sites.

I though of posting this as many of my friends think that they are only charged for downloading stuff. And to clarify in MTNL’s words, “Data Download includes file/ programmes download, E-mail receiving & its attachments, Browsing Web sites/Surfing, Chatting , on line games, Videos and Songs etc i.e. any data received on your Computer from Internet is treated as download.”.
